Just to satisfy my curiosity, what caused that birds nest?  Extruder temp go bad?  Z axis hiccup?  Severe layer shift?

Enter your blower model 3 in Toro master parts viewer and go to the cute diagram and see if it has the part #25-5450 Retainer-Chute

First was I believe the entire part came loose from the bed...possible due to temp change here. Then had another where the nozzle started clogging due to heat creep and the extrusion was too low as a result and the layers weren't adhering properly.

Since then I had to put that machine to work on the M2 50 cals and made some more adjustments.

That's what's frustrating,  the bottom came out really well, then all of a sudden...WTF!

Just gotta keep tweaking all the time it seems. I really need to upgrade the large printers.

Just finishing up the 50 cals on order then I'll try that top again.

I printed some of these and the holes broke out when screws were installed.

Figuring on trying ABS with a 100 infill, and if that's a failure point add extra around the holes.

Well I guess we can try. What type of material is the original?

Maybe try PTFE?

Gonna try ASA again but thread some 12-24 threads in them. I have also milled some out of UHMW plastic, I have them on my blower this year.

Maybe a metal tube insert? To keep from over tightening and crushing the plastic?

It came to my attention that @lynnmor has a method for making the snow chute retainers at a decent price! I always try to defer to our fellow RS folks whenever possible.

On that note, everyone please remember this thread is for everyone to share 3d printing ideas as related to Wheelhorse and 3d print stuff in general. If ever there is a request for an item a member already provides please let me know. For me this is about providing for the members and their Horses not competing with our fellow enthusiasts. Thanks!

Still working through the Browning 50 cal orders, but just as soon as that is done we'll be back on to the gt14 gas tank top with some new settings fine tuned.

Once we get the top done, we'll do another dash test to see how the new settings work for that.

Startin' to look like an armory 'round here!

One complete, one waiting for triggers, and one waiting bolt and triggers, and partial components of at least 2 more .
