Maybe that box from the box store wasn't the IDEAL formulation for cookie cutter cookies?:hide:

Trina says if there's baking powder in the recipe there'll likely be too much expansion.

There are MANY recipes that don't use baking powder.

Where is the PO-PO when you need him? Those might be some of the worst visuals that I have seen yet... rivaling @Pullstart's shirtless nudity and sandals!!! :scared-yipes:

Thinking maybe a simple flour, sugar, egg combo with no extra fats to melt or any rising ingredient. Also maybe chill before baking?

Handy Don

The other ingredient that can really affect "flow" is sugar (or molasses, depending on recipe)

I have to say, these look better than the gluten-free almond cookies with skull and spider web cookie cutter shapes I tried to make for Halloween.  Gluten-free baking is hard enough as it is, and trying to make a dough that is stiff enough to be cut and come out of the cutter in one piece, then not rise so much during baking that it totally loses it's shape... quite a challenge.

BTW, my wife, son and I regularly watch baking shows - our favorite is the "Great British Bake Off" on Netflix.  The people, even the judges, are pretty nice and often funny, although the one bald guy who's apparently there for "comic relief" in later episodes tells some real eye-roller corny jokes.  So I'm getting inspired to do more baking after I retire.  I already bake muffins every Sunday for my son's breakfasts before school during the week (alternating some variations of pumpkin spice and banana nut).  I enjoy cooking, and especially the eating that comes afterwards. :D

As requested by a member, not wheel horse, but at least goes on a red tractor!

And it was an excellent test to tweak the settings for that durn GT14 dash and console!

Next day or 2 I'll be trying that again with the new settings!

If you do get the emblems made think about having them electroplated, the metal coating will add years of life to them,'

I’m building a lowered 300 series wheelhorse. So far it’s a combination of 3 scrap tractors.
the frame, trans and tins are from a GT2500 anniversary special given to me by a neighbor with a trashed Briggs. The Kohler M12 is from a junkyard 312 that was roached. The parts tractor I’m using for the build was another older 312. I’ve got the k301 in the garage. The trans was toast. Both axles wallowed out keyways and 1 axle actually broken.
Anyway! I needed a project and a toy to putt around the neighborhood. I couldn’t find any other posts on how to do the whole thing. I’m trying to keep it cheap using stuff I have on hand and looking as “stock but cooler” as possible. So here we go.
I’ll update this as I go along.
