@oliver2-44 Yes he is one of my favorites too. Really like how he turned out, and he looks good perched up there on the shelf behind my two DCs and my L.

Here's a kit that Trina fiddles with some.

Cool stuff! We just got our grandson a wood burning kit. He seems to be getting in to it. I'll make sure he sees this thread,:)

Awesome artwork Bryce!  Do you sketch anything before, or just get to work?  I have a wood burner tip for my soldering iron, but have better skills with a pencil or a welder...

Thanks Kevin. My artwork skills as far as drawing suck. All of these with exception of the barn were patterns I printed off and then transferred to the wood with carbon transfer paper. The barn was the first one I did, Tasha drew it out with a pencil and I burned it. Here is before I burned the last one, along with the pattern I used for the M. The lettering I did with Microsoft Word, then traced it out onto the piece178D207E-86BB-49D6-A5AC-9924D298FC8D.jpeg.f7a38d57329e3567035817edae552dde.jpegF96FA3AA-77D3-45DE-93CC-1D5F6B8718AE.jpeg.67739b18d9fa4a5994571252b662fc0d.jpeg685B3ACE-FAC8-4836-8717-FE995A863E80.png.1db5ada6285e46f3d745b5f610fe5a5d.png

Great work Bryce!!:handgestures-thumbupright:

I dabble with wood burning also. I make these signs to put in front of my tractors when I am at a show. I try to make them look like the grill of the tractor that they belong to. My free hand ain't what it used to be, so I do some trace over myself.

Nice work guys!
BTW, the keyboard looks real! :laughing-rofl:

I see you guys actually practiced with it as wood burning instead of using them to burn ants and such as a kid. Or, almost setting the curtains on fire. My oldest brother got caught branding my other brother.

Could you imagine the outrage today if they were marketed as a child's toy again?

@Achto Those look great. I really like how you make them in the shape of the tractor grille. I never would have thought of something like that, great work

Digging this one back out...with colder weather setting in here I've been doing a little more burning again this year. Making a set of Wheel Horse coasters for a good friend and fellow collector (and probably make another set for myself as well). Also started on this engine to hang with the rest of my tractor and engine related works in my home office

WHX??

@Achto burned this for Cindy for xmas.

Almost forgot about this one... My dad was a railroad man and he passed away last year. His handle was old number nine and every rough thing he did was claimed to be "just temporary " I made a rough pine box for his ashes and Dan scribed it.

Mom's next to him was store bought and a bit more elegant. :)
