It's the coldest so far all year, I see snow in the forecast for Monday.  Typical weather reporting, yesterday it was 3 to 6, today it 8 to 12, tommorow it will be 18 to 24 with a state of emergency declared, press conferences to tell us to how to behave, grocery stores will be cleared out, then the storm will hit and we get the 3 to 6 or less!

:text-yeahthat:

I think the TV weather guys get kick backs from grocery stores and hardware stores..

Brought in another load of firewood before the forecasted blizzard tomorrow.

80!? Inside?

The windows would be open long before in. I keep the thermostat at 65 with the bedroom vent closed so it hovers in the 50s while sleeping.

Central CT here, high today of 27, low tonight of 5. Been similar Temps past couple days.

Had to jump my car the other morning, was 7 out when I was doing that. Fingers were numb by the time I got in to go to work.

My oil burner stat is programmed at  70 from 6AM- 10PM and 50 from 10PM to 6AM.  It never runs when I am firing the wood stove.    The fan over the wood stove only forces heat to the living areas and keeps them at 70- 72 when the stove area is 75-80.     The bedrooms are never heated they stay at 50 -55.     The stove evaporates about 1.5 gallons of water / day keeping the humidity at a good level.

The stove area is great for drying wet hunting cloths and Regal Red paint.

If you're drying linen beige wheels do you need to use a different type of wood?

Not sure what works best on the beige Bob, but hard maple works great for Regal Red on a fabbed up axle bracket/ weight support.      Maybe try Shagbark Hickory or go with the Apple if you want them to smell nice.  The side benefit is it covers the slight scent of paint thinner in the house.

I love my Harman pellet stove! Thermostatic too, you pick a temperature and it goes off and on at that temperature.

A balmy 15 degrees here this morning, doesn't appear to be any wind.  The sky never cleared like they thought it would, so that helped holding our temperatures in the teens.

26 here and the snow just started.     I'm in the 8-12" forecast for the next 3 days.      Looks like Phil won't be seeing his shadow.......winter is over.

About 28° this morning. Picked up about 9" last night,  and put the little 8hp that could, to work. It's crazy what these little tractors can push. I haven't managed to get stuck or stall it out yet.
