Think it was 0 or slightly above when got called into work, for snow that doesn’t even make a 1/4”. Everyone says free OT, well I’d rather sleep more than a couple hours. Been called bout everyday this week for no measurable snow fall. Really starting to hate my job. I don’t really remember being this cold when I was a kid, but do remember getting a lot of snow, and NOT CALLING EVERY TIME IT SNOWS A FRIGGIN STORM. Really hating the media anymore.....

18 degrees here in the mountains of western NC. I guess that being a bit closer to our nation's capital all that hot air they spew out is keeping us relatively warm.

Just took my morning walk down to the lake, I see that it has finally frozen over.  I had to look pretty far down the lake to still see some open water.  Cayuga Lake's northern end freezes over because it more shallow than the southern end.  By next Friday they are calling for 40+ and rain. We'll have to see how long that ice holds up.

Here in PA, they started spraying that fender destroyer on the roads yesterday in case it snows tomorrow.  All kinds of travel restrictions have also been announced.  It is a shame that people can't just grow up and face reality.

It's the coldest so far all year, I see snow in the forecast for Monday.  Typical weather reporting, yesterday it was 3 to 6, today it 8 to 12, tommorow it will be 18 to 24 with a state of emergency declared, press conferences to tell us to how to behave, grocery stores will be cleared out, then the storm will hit and we get the 3 to 6 or less!

We're used to that here. We're right in the lake effect belt. Common forecast is "lake effect snow showers with 1"-24" accumulation." Most end up being a couple inches, but when the wind is right, I've seen the lake dump 4 feet. Drive 10 miles and there's still grass showing. If we end up with the 10-12" they are calling for it's unusual to see that much out of a system snow.
