But of course you don't get paid overtime. Yup. One of the positions I held during my career was as a production support engineer. Salaried position with lots of hours. One weekend or late night, I made a comment about donating time to the company to the hourly production guy I was working with. He pointed out that I was getting paid the big bucks and 'offered' to trade pay with me. I said fine. But we'd have to trade hours too. The discussion ended at that point.
SylvanLakeWH 25,494 #27 Posted January 30, 2021 On a good note for customer service... today I finally took in 2 Craftsman 3/8” ratchets and a couple Phillips head screw drivers to Lowe’s for warranty exchange. Both ratchets were intermittently failing to catch and both screw drivers were, shall we say, tired... Now, granted, all 4 items were well used and more than occasionally abused. I was not sure what to expect since Lowe’s took over craftsman’s warranty. Wow was I pleased. No hassle, no issues. I even got two slightly longer handled ratchets since they were out of the ones I returned. Again no hassle... Yea!
squonk 41,038 #28 Posted January 30, 2021 I remember my first Snap-On dealer. I bought a 12 volt test light from him. A couple of months later I slammed a hood on it and broke it into about 5 pieces. He came in the next day and exchanged it

I hadn't heard that Lowes had taken over.

Stanley tools owns the brand now.

I bought a lowes/craftsman mechanic set real cheap on sale. It's ok for beater shop set, but the quality that used to be craftsman is definitely gone
