formariz 11,988 #1 Posted January 23, 2021 From 1910 when there was pride in the quality of one’s product. Stamped 2nd quality and sold at a lower price. Quite honestly the only problem I ever found with the ones stamped this way was that the patent date or brand stamp were stamped a little light making it hard to read. 4 1
ebinmaine 68,481 #2 Posted January 23, 2021 I've seen shirts labeled that way in the past. "seconds" Had a few but never got one I've figured out what the problem is.
953 nut 55,882 #3 Posted January 23, 2021 Growing up my brother and I would get all our new clothing from the factory seconds store, the only place mom would shop. Wish we could find good quality like that today.

Wish we could find good quality like that today. There's a factory outlet near me that sells 2nds. Thats where I get most of my jeans, especially my work jeans. Sometimes you'll find a thread that doesn't look quite right or a spot somewhere, but most of the time you'd never know it unless you sat there and studied them. They get roughly $8 for a pair of Wranglers that are normally $25+. Good enough for me!
