eBay Wheel Horse Parts (closed down)

After 21 years of selling IH parts, flat head ford parts, wheel horse parts and Kohler parts. I’ve managed to to help out a lot of restoration projects as well as putting additional funds into the family till. So I have no complaints. 

Lucky for me that 100% of my flathead ford stuff has been sold of as well as 85% of my IH parts. I still maintain a very good inventory of used Kohler and 300/400/500 series parts.

Over the years eBay fees have been increased time and time again. With their divorce from PayPal, eBay created issues that I found rather burdensome however, I remained doing business with them. 

However as of last week, eBay required me to provide personal information such as birth date, ssn and other banking information that I didn’t feel comfortable sharing with them, or the Chinese government. 
Therefore, as many of you have been asking, I am closing my eBay sales down.  
eBay was a great idea and worked well for lots of people however, like the icebox, 8 tracks, and cobblestone roads their time has come and gone, at least for me as a seller. 
I may start a website but for now, I’ll maintain a foot print or Richmond Craigslist as well as several forums.

As always, my prices are always 20% -30% lower for forum members so if you need parts I’m still around going through an incredible hoard of wheel horse parts.

Another one gone, a majority of people I know are not going along with the new "managed payments".  I can't stand ebay anymore as I was a seller since 2000.  I sold mostly model airplanes and tractor parts.  I was done in September, last month I decided to have a last run just to get rid of some aviation pieces, not for the money, just to get stuff to some people who would appreciate it and free up space, I was notified my last day to sell is 2/14/21 unless I comply which I wont

Yes it seems like a lot of forced compliance or you will be shut down going on lately.

eBay could care less if you leave, all they want are high volume junk sellers from china to compete with amazon

They have been backed into a corner by Revenue Departments from various states that want to get income tax from the sellers. They already have begun collecting sales tax and I sort-of  knew this would be the next step.

Anything you sell you have to share with your silent partners, Post Office, State tax man and soon the IRS will get into the act too.

Sorry to hear that, but understood.  I'll start checking the Richmond C/L listings to see what you have, and I assume you'll continue to post ads here for your Wheel Horse parts?

 

I didn't realize you also sold IH parts, any era in particular?  I have an old 686 tractor at our place in Virginia, don't need anything urgently right now, but it's an old machine just like our Horses, you never really know what might happen next.

When do the update you will find the aforementioned information that they want.

They are attempting to make it sound good. Anytime any one uses the the term to “better you experience” I clinch my butt cheeks.

It's being done in phases, it started last year and supposed to be done by June 2021? For the few items I sell it's not worth setting up another bank account or providing one of my existing accounts just for ebay
