71_Bronco 1,072 #1 Posted January 12, 2021 Need a set of Throttle and Choke Cables for my '62 Lawn Ranger. It has the holes in the dash for the cables to pass through (don't know off-hand what the holes size is). If I recall correctly, some people were disappointed with the quality of the Stens replacements (I could be wrong). I see Lowel @wheelhorseman has a pair on his site, but not sure how these compare to the older OEM ones and the modern Stens one. I could also check out A-Z, but I don't know what I need for part numbers. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks!
ebinmaine 68,887 #2 Posted January 12, 2021 @Achto has led me to psep.biz to purchase cables and they are of good quality but I don't know which ones you would need.
Stepney 2,325 #3 Posted January 12, 2021 Something as old as that, wouldn't it have had the smaller diameter, thicker knobs? Not sure I've ever seen them aftermarket.

This cable set will match the look of the original set and will fit the holes in the dash. Only down side is that it does not say if the throttle cable has a locking mechanism on it. I do plan on purchasing a set of these for my 753 in the future. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Willys-Kaiser-Jeep-CJ2A-CJ3A-CJ3B-CJ5-Tractor-Car-Truck-Choke-Throttle-Cable/182497006421?hash=item2a7dab5355:g:Yr0AAOSwWxNY0ECr

This new site SUCKS !!! I can't find anything on it, and their old site gives a security warning when you go to order. I ordered through their old site this last time & did not have an issue, but if you feel unsafe ordering from the old site just write you part numbers down & call it in. FYI 1

Based on the pics, they dont look like a twist-to-lock set. How do you know these will fit? I can't see a spec on hole requirements.

FYI Just checked out the new site. Doesn't look like there's any picture or specs. I tried searching "choke cable" and a whole bunch came up, but no specs or pics, even when clicking each item

The throttle does lock on these.
