Gregor 4,847 #26 Posted January 14, 2021 "IF" you decide to go plastic, I have used one from ebay, and I have used one from Isavetractors. Isavetractors is better. First off, they give you directions with the pump. Second, the snap ring tool is better.
paul414-8 3 #27 Posted May 10, 2021 always go with one filter and always put the filter AFTER the pump, the filter should be as close to the carburetor as posssible/practical.

I personally prefer to have a filter between the tank and the pump. I appreciate the pump may possibly have a slightly harder time pulling fuel through the filter and line as opposed to just the line, (these pumps are supposed to be more effective ‘Pushing’ than ‘Pulling’), but I would rather have any ‘crap’ caught by the filter than lodged in the pump! After all, Wheelhorse put a strainer gauze in the tank outlet itself. Doug. Edited May 10, 2021 by ranger
Skipper 1,788 #29 Posted May 10, 2021 (edited) Yeah, no reason to put crap thru the pump. It also likes clean food................. Edited May 10, 2021 by Skipper
