I personally prefer to have a filter between the tank and the pump. I appreciate the pump may possibly have a slightly harder time pulling fuel through the filter and line as opposed to just the line, (these pumps are supposed to be more effective ‘Pushing’ than ‘Pulling’), but I would rather have any ‘crap’ caught by the filter than lodged in the pump!
