Its a bit of work LOL, i will say 100% that the John Deere's are not as simplistic as a good old Wheel Horse.

That's why Trina and I have the Horses.

Practicality.

Love the round fenders.

But :wh: are Sooooo easy to build/repair/maintain.

This video depicts a 1963 model.  Look at the location of the lift lever on the left side.  It's just below the hood - that's a dead giveaway to a 1963.  In 1964, the lift lever was lowered quite a bit.

Got the transaxle all sealed up and back together 100%.  Should have the new drive pulley in a few days. Tommorow i will work on some more of the odd brackets and start all to components that tuck underneath the frame.

Well i had to put some pallet racks up this weekend and i got a few odd parts done. Rebuilt all the brake components today. The frame is all cleaned and degreased and cleared. The transaxle is just about back complete. Just waiting on one pulley to finish that up.

Got the brakes all rebuilt and assembled the rear half of the tractor. Now on to the front axle, dash tower and levers.  Then the front axle and engine and sheet metal / fiberglass hood.

It's looking great.  Are going to keep the seat cover on it?  Looks better without it

I probably will put the seat cover on another machine. But cant say for sure, cause i want to see what it will look like once all is together. Because hood will have to be repainted after fiberglass is repaired.

Well i ended up starting to clean up the hitch setup. That came on a parts 1965 jd 110 i picked up earlier this year. Had to cut a pipe that was welded on off and free it all up. It was set up solid as a rock.

What's your thoughts on covering up the pipe cut off and keeping with the patina theme? I usually hit those kind of things with a lite coat of rusty primer but usually sticks out. I know some guys just let it rust out again.

I guess you could. I plan on just blasting down and repaint it. Just cause the only paint left is that little spot on top were the adjusting bolt goes through. The parts tractor it came off was sitting in a hedgerow next to a canal for many years. So there was alot of pitting on the parts and most paint was flaking off.
