Stealth Horse?

So, I was out in the garage working on my Lawn Ranger all afternoon. I was supposed to be cleaning the garage, but we all know how that goes... 

 

I haven't decided a color yet for the Lawn Ranger. I was thinking maybe a black / magenta color scheme. I was going to do pink, but I'd rather do something a little less flashy than bubblegum colored lol.

 

I had a can of semi-gloss black that I sprayed some parts with (narrowed tool box, fenders, seat, seat spring) and my back wheels are gloss black.

 

I actually thought it looked really sharp, and was imagining a "stealth" type paint job, semi gloss or matte black like the F117 Stealth Fighter.

 

Anyways, thought I'd throw the idea out and see if anybody has done this, or thinks this would be a cool experiment.

 

I'll post some pics tomorrow, ran out of daylight to take decent pics, and I plan on doing more work tomorrow.

I think that flat black sheet metal with gloss black rims would look awesome!!

Sprayed a few more parts just to get an idea of what it would look like. I'm actually kinda digging the look. Paint is semi-flat black.

 

Some of the parts had some exposed metal and rust, so I mainly did it to just protect the metal and see what I thought.

Keep going. Black on black on black. Like on Street Outlaws, You could call it  "The Murder Ranger".

Got a little more work done to the "stealth horse" today, got some lights mounted up. This thing is really looking mean.

Yes, whole thing is going to be painted. I was just throwing on the black to protect some bare metal I cleaned up.

 

My original plan was to do it some kind of pink (for my daughter), but settled on a color called "satin magenta". Not too bright and flashy. Going to do some black accents like the wheels and seat and some other little touches.
