Can anyone tell me the offset on the original 520-H rear wheels? The tractors are over two hours away. The wheels here are 7" wide and look like 5+" on the outside and 2-" on the inside. That may be a story for another day. 1990-97 520s (also the xi series) have 8.5" wide wheels with approximately 3" of backspacing (I had enough room for IH cub weights on the inside) how much are you willing to spend on tires? because those OTRs I brag up are only $40 more than Deestone on eBay. littleredrider 409 #33 Posted January 10, 2021 I have ATV tires on my loader tractor. They have about 1 1/2" lugs, and are way more aggressive than any tractor tire. They are also higher load rating, and fit under the stock seat pan, without modifying anything. They are an off size for tractors, but common size for ATVs, 25x12x12. They are mounted on 10" wide wheels I got from Miller tire. Had to weld em up, but I like welding. I can drive around the yard just fine. In the spring my yard is a swamp, and as long as not spinning the tire, it doesn't tear it up. It might leave tread prints, but bout it. But, get in a situation where the tire spins, and it will tear the crap outta the yard!!!! I thought I had pics on my phone, but must have cleared it out. littleredrider 409 #34 Posted January 10, 2021 Something I forgot to mention, on the loader tractor I have the Vredesteins up front. Not a tri rib, but does "bulge" slightly in the center, size not all the tire is on the ground. But even with no weight on the front, just the weight of the diesel, it steers better in the snow than the tri's do. TJ5208 1,824 #35 Posted January 10, 2021 heres the tires and rims on ole red i think he looks pretty awsome also they have tubes paint the rims white get some washers and stick them on there we should be in shape the paint wise i use international red and white i have thought about using regal red and white before so may use that soon i decided until i get older i would stop restoring ole red because the rims i painted over rust and im not a pro at it it should be easy to paint these rims because there rust free and smooth they are not wheel horse their dump cart rims and tires ill i will have to put a thew washeres on both sides or on one i dont know if it would hurt anything because the rim is so thin it wont fit the axle how many people run carlise ags here do you guys have a tractor with deestones and carlise tires at the same time how do you like the carlices filled how many run deestones tri ribs 400.8 what do you guys think of the tires. i am putting the deck impements back together just to let you guys know. They will fit good on the normal Wheel Horse rims. They do not how ever fit on the deeper dish wide rims that are found on the larger C models and the 300,400, & 500 models. The rear tires on my 1076 are Cheng Shin's. I picked these tires more for looks than function. This tractor is semi retired so it does not do a lot of work, but it still gets plenty of run time every year. For the same reason the tires are not loaded. It spends a fair amount of time loaded on a trailer to go to shows so I don't really want the extra weight to haul around. My Raider 12 that I use for mold board plowing has the same DeeStones on the front with Carlisle's on the rear. I choose Carlisle rear tires for function, I my opinion Carlise are one of the best tires for field work. Firestone ags may be a bit better for field work but they are a bit more expensive as well. All added weight on this tractor is cast iron. I have thought about loading the tires but so far the iron weights have given me all the weight that I have needed. There is 75bs on the right rear wheel, 150lbs on the left rear wheel and 50lbs hanging off from the front end. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
