"Manic-Mechanic" 1,194 #1 Posted January 7, 2021 (edited) I finally got this 312 ready for Winter. (Decals by Terry) Paints (Valspar IH Red, Rustoleom Sunrise Red and Krylon Satan Black, Banner Red) Replaced hood stand and deck lift. (Hood stand & deck lift by Lincoln) Upgraded the front wheels & spindles to 8” (Special thanks to Eric) Refurbished a Wheel Horse 312-8 Hood (Wheel Horse Show 2019) Added second set of seat springs and a friction pad. She drives nice & tight! Edited January 7, 2021 by oldman Title 5 9 2

Handy Don 12,251 #11 Posted January 8, 2021 Changing only the wheels/tires will raise the front. Changing the spindles to the "shorter" version (standard on units with 8" wheels from the factory) at the same time brings it back to level.
peter lena 8,647 #12 Posted January 8, 2021 MAXWELL-8, agree with don above on the slightly added height , but the look and the drivability are more than worth it . pete 1

I did try the 8” wheels without changing the spindles and it wasn’t level.
