Ed Kennell 38,288 #9 Posted January 6, 2021 If the pulley is not moving forward when you push the pedal, you may have sheared the pin that fastens the clutch lever to the cross shaft on the left side. 2
pfrederi 17,741 #10 Posted January 6, 2021 When you step on the clutch pedal the idler pulley should rotate towards the front and down loosening the belt

When you step on the brake/clutch pedal the idle pulley should move forward to release the belt. The belt guard also works as a belt brake. The belt will drag and it will be hard to shift without the belt guard installed.

Pullstart 62,923 #19 Posted January 6, 2021 It all looks right to me too. Like Mr. Jay said, a belt guard is mandatory for proper operation.

Kirbet, does your linkage look like Dans picture or did you take the lever off and assemble it incorrectly on the bottom. Please show us a picture of your assembly on this side. I still have to believe the pin must be sheared off. Look at the two reference punch marks on Dans picture. Mark your lever and shaft, then depress the clutch pedal and see if the lever changes position on the shaft. If it does, the pin is sheared off. 4
