ebinmaine 67,704 #2 Posted January 4, 2021 I can't believe you didn't mention that custom exhaust 2
ebinmaine 67,704 #3 Posted January 4, 2021 Do we suppose that antenna meant that it had a radio directly attached to it at some point? Or is that more like a forward pointing hard mounted joust machine?
squonk 41,165 #4 Posted January 4, 2021 Prolly used for picking up the Mets. Old folk in the 60's loved the Mets. My Grandmother would stay up all night watching the Mets play the Dodgers and Giants.

She'd be all wound up on Sundays after they got curb-stomped by the Lakers!

Pullstart 62,922 #9 Posted January 4, 2021 I feel like plenty of tractors are subject to a joust... but maybe with a stall, barn door or tree... let alone the random house interactions...
tom2p 2,394 #11 Posted January 5, 2021 (edited) It's fairly well known that Martian's and other extraterrestrials have a soft spot for Wheel Horse tractors ( note the color of ET's finger ) can you blame them ? one way to combat the theft of your prized Wheel Horse tractor by those pesky out-in-space burglars is to transmit radio signals to block their electronic transmissions - and signals originating from the tractor are your best bet ! Darb1964 1,044 #12 Posted January 5, 2021 My family it was the red Sox on the radio all summer, no Yankee fan comments about the fall. My grand parents had them on in the barn doing chores, on the truck radio haying, a transistor radio always available. My mother's side,my father never missed a game, even when they were on the west coast. I still like the radio broadcast, brings back good memories. My kind of option! They all passed before 2004, I know off topic just brought back memories. 3
tom2p 2,394 #13 Posted January 5, 2021 I've tried to listen to the radio a few times when cutting grass - especially because I can be on the tractor for 3 hours - but the quality of my headphones was lacking ... and I preferred instead to listen to the Kohler or Onan 'broadcast' 4

I listen in the morning commute in my own car. After that I almost never turn on the radio in the work truck.

SylvanLakeWH 25,608 #17 Posted January 5, 2021 I listen to the sound of silence, somewhat enhanced, with my noise reduction, but not eliminating, ear muffs... 1
