Being a machinist has it's advantages and you need to check out @buckrancher 's Stainless steel RJ

wallfish, thank you I would like to see that link. I was looking thru some old posts , and ran across one that a guy put brass bushing in his steering and added grease fittings, so I used his idea and put one in new steering block, I may drill pins and add them there to. I think this will help with wear. I do love this site, there are so many good idea's.  I does help that I have a Bridgeport, lathe, shaper, and other tools in my garage/ shop. And I can do some " government " jobs at work!!

Here's a link for the SS deck he made for it. There's some pics of the tractor near the end. Still looking for the tractor build thread

Anything that was possible to be made out of SS it was done.

That is one nice looking tractor!! I'm not going that far, I'm just repairing or replacing worn out or broken parts. My parts are just made from 4140 steel, just harder and more wear resistant then what the Original was.
