Ed Kennell 38,289 #32 Posted January 3, 2021 I could check with my diabetic niece. She may be interested in being a brake lining mule. She has been crossing at some remote location for years for her insulin. 2

Then the Covid hit 2020, and I think they realigned their system to respond to the issues. It added a day, two, three etc. The holiday crushed them with online sales. I see most of the regulars took vacation, making a hard situation worse. just barely recall the mercury spill the Warrendale center is a big one with a lot of activity - a lot of trucks in and out of there 24/7 close to I79 and PA turnpike we used to ride dirt bikes near there late 70's to mid 80's or so - including a trail that went around the perimeter of the back and one side

bc.gold 3,403 #38 Posted January 4, 2021 (edited) Just post it with USPS insured with tracking once you have the number go back to that ebay sale post it as sent and add the tracking number. Here's tracking from my most recent ebay Canada sale shipped via Canada Post, hit the link opens USPS Follow the tracking then you'll at least have some idea how long a package spends in transit. Your item was accepted at 1:27 pm on December 29, 2020 in CANADA. CX264887561CA Edited January 4, 2021 by bcgold
Pullstart 62,923 #39 Posted January 4, 2021 I agree with @elcamino/wheelhorse Jim. FedEx International is pretty easy. Commercial invoice and HS codes will help too.

Yuppers I remeber, but I dont think it took that long actually, If I remeber correctly ebinmaine we did it through the postoffice. I think it took a couple weeks. Figuring out how and what way to ship was the other couple of weeks. But remeber right now we have closed boarders so I wouldnt even try to cross boarder. Plus it being holiday season all shipping will be pritty slow, and then to add how many are now online shopping because of covid Im going to bet everything is back logged. I think the way ebinmaine sent it was probably the best way, really was no hassle except you have to go to the post office as opposed to having it picked up at your door when shipping to whom ever. The cost was pritty good too, or at least Id say avg when it came to shipping.

CX264887561CA Problem is that the tracking number, which showed that it had made it from my house to an eBay clearing center, then to a post office in Melrose, then to a post office in Des Plaines, Illinois, has suddenly lost all it's info. Post Office can't explain it.

(cringe) Yes the package drops off from scanning once it reaches customs which are not set up to track but rather collect on duty owed, passing the responsibility over to the postal system to collect on it. Sounds like your son is building a CNC project its unfortunate his project will be delayed.

rmaynard 15,525 #49 Posted January 28, 2021 My brake lining was finally delivered on January 19, 2021. It was shipped on December 1, 2020. I don't care if there is a pandemic, a Christmas rush, bad weather, or a combination of all three, there is no excuse for a package to take 49 days to get to its destination. I blame most of the problem on eBay for having such a stupid method of handling international deliveries. Just weeks before, I shipped a brake lining to Sweden with me doing all the customs paperwork. It took only 2-1/2 weeks.
