Does anyone know what size the deive belt is on an 867. I got a new one but it slips so bad that the tractor barely moves. Thanks.

I've not had good luck with dayco brand belts.

Several of us use Tractor Supply belts but I've also had challenges sizing them correctly..

I'm a big fan of Gates Green belts.

So the belt says it's a half by 70 but it slips like crazy. It was a used belt. Can they stretch out?

It's a common misconception that belts stretch but that amount is minuscule. What actually happens is that the angles on the sides wear off which allows the belt to sit further into the pulley grooves. That effectively makes it longer.

Part of the issue with the 67 and earlier tractors is that they used a small diameter engine pulley so there's nowhere near as much contact patch as there is on later models.

Are you sure the belt is slipping.    There should be some smoke if it slips that bad.

Missing keys in axles and input pulleys also cause slippage...just sayin.

I can see the pulley moving but the belt says stationary. I can also smell it burning.

Just wondering if possibly the belt is somehow wedged by the the belt guard? I've had this happen. I now always make sure the belt is engaged before putting the guard back on.
