Amnor: a Belgium WH factory

As most of you know, Wheel Horse also had a factory in Belgium, the only Wheel Horse factory outside the US.

The factory called Amnor N.V. is located in Oevel.

Oevel is a Small submunicipality of Westerlo, located in the Flemish speaking part of Belgium. Next to a very important highway, it has a central location in Belgium, but also in Europe

Production of Wheel Horse ran at this site from the spring of 1969 up to 1991

The factory now, is the headquarters for Toro Europe, and nothing no longer gets made at this rather small building.

We (used to before 2020) travel slightly often to Düsseldorf, Germany to see family and friends.  I doubt I could ever convince my wife we need to do a “drive by” to see where it is, but it’s interesting to see that it’s really not far from our Jil!

No, In the usa there are way more plentiful, lot of things do not pas the test of times here, People want new stuff, even if there's ain't broken and so they get trown away.

512D wich isn't made in Belgium is rather plentiful, but finding just a Wheel Horse is a struggle, a couple get put up for sale yearly, but as fast as the come, so fast do they disappear.

It's hard to find anything about the factory, A nearby factory of DAF semi's took all the attention.

I know you could do a tour 5 years ago, don't know if that will come back, Much activities, the building doesn't get to see anymore.

I live here in belgium and its not easy to find a wheel horse here. Sometimes they are up for sale but 1 or 2 days later they are sold. I had now finally the chance to buy a wheel horse lawn ranger 800. I often drive by the factory and its still there.
