If it cost me money later, so be it! Randy

Randy I used to feel the same way about keeping stuff, but any more if it doesn't have a use it's gone, space and an organized shop is more valuable than hoarding a bunch of crap you will never use. After the last purge I unloaded alot of attachments, engine parts, lawn mowers. We will see what the spring purge might be. Been thinking about selling off the tractor collection and just keep 2 or 3

Maybe be able to trade some things for things I need to finish the tractors I keep! Randy 1

We'll have nine GTs when all projects are complete although it'll be awhile before they're all done. Likely a couple years out. It'll be great to have spare tractors for maintenance or dedicated ones for certain purpose or implements... But.... We don't need nine...... Until we get a few more implements. We have plenty of acreage to keep building tarp shed covers but to us, it's senseless to let a machine sit.

stevasaurus 22,717 #12 Posted December 28, 2020 I started throwing things out last year. Kind of fun going through boxes of stuff and finding things that you forgot you had. Those are the things to through out. Just cleaned out the garage this fall. Junked a lot of metal junk, but I did keep ferrous electrodes for electrolysis. Got my work benches cleaned of, tractor hoods are cleaned off, I can walk through now and even carry things through the garage. If it does not move in 2 years, it's gone...that if for the garage. In the house is 1 year. Paint!!! I was keeping cans of paint, and it was dried up. Enough room for 3 or 4 K-181's. Next space is the attic above the garage in the Spring. Anybody want a Croque set.?? I was thinking one of the balls would make a unique shifter knob. We could play polo with the horses at the show. See, it's easy to find excuses to keep stuff. 3
ebinmaine 67,426 #13 Posted December 28, 2020 I like that shifter knob idea and also WHEEL HORSE CROQUET

RandyLittrell 3,877 #16 Posted February 27, 2023 I drug this thread out from the dead and have been working on my shop. I didn't need to start another project, but sometimes you just need to change things up!! I have moved everything around but reused all the counters tops and benches, just cut them down and moved them. Picked up some free cabinets so now I have a desk area. Hope to have everything on the outer edges to make more room to work on Horses and my Bronco I bought. Plus hope to get the VAC Case in the shop and get it on the road. You may need to look at a few pics from the top to figure out what all I did, but I am pretty happy with how its turning out. I am far from done, but it's a great start! 3
RandyLittrell 3,877 #17 Posted February 27, 2023 I will post some more pics when I get a little further along. Almost have all the old shop lights changed out to led's as well. Randy
