What snow plow is this and how do I mount it?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. I inherited a wheel horse 704 a few years ago and I just got it running.

With it I got a snow plow / dozer but I cant seem to find the model / manual. Is it even a wheel horse?

So my question is: What model is it and how do I mount it?

I managed to mount it to the rear axle but then I started to hesitate. I think one of the rods matches the lift bar but I was unsure how to fasten it and what to do with the chain and handle in front of the tractor.

The box contains what I got with the tractor.

See pictures.

Best regards,

Definitely not WH, but necessity is the mother of invention, if it works doesn't matter what brand it is.

Is it attached in the pics, or just put in place?

It looks like you take the bar on the bottom in the 5th picture.  Put the end with the stub into the right hand hole in picture #3 and bolt the other end to that hole on your blade frame.  You could also use a length of chain instead of that bar.  Once hooked up., pull back on your lift handle...use to star wheel on the dash to adjust the height of the blade.  :handgestures-thumbupright:

I think so. Thank you for your reply.

So the chain and handle in front of the tractor can be ignored?

I was just overthinking things.

Do you know why are there two bars?

I will try something out tomorrow and get back.

:text-welcomeconfetti: to the :rs:     I noticed there is no trip system on the blade.

If the blade strikes a fixed object, be prepared  to to be launched over the steering wheel

Nice to see a vintage :wh: stay in the family and be loved and appreciated. The snow blade was probably built by you relative and helps tell the story of your horse.       :handgestures-thumbupleft:

That blade looks home made to me...

Ditto about the 'flip springs' .  BE CAREFUL you don't hit an immovable object!
