Where to tap for power for LED lights on S/G tractor?

I'm going to be installing some LED lights on Trina's 867.

I haven't tried to look at a schematic yet but if I remember correctly there's a terminal on the voltage regulator that's marked for lights or auxiliary power. 

Given consideration that this is an older style technology system will that terminal be consistent enough to power the LED lights? Or should I just tap right off the battery positive somewhere?

L should work.  You would have to test it to see if there is any flickering.  Three terminal Regulators will not have an L terminal you would have to use Bat.

I like to tap into accessory power on the switch. This way the lights go out when you shut the tractor off. Less chance of a dead battery do to lights being left on with this set up. You can also just tap into any constant hot wire.

If you are running the four term switch. If it still has the orginal 70 amp three term just go to the L term on the regulator. 867 should have a cigar lighter that goes to L too.  Fuse it and make sure the lights get a decent ground... grounding to the hood may not cut it and they flicker.

Thanks for the reminder on the grounding. 

I was figuring on running a ground wire right beside the hot wire but straight to the battery ground

I figured that out when I went to led bulbs in the 1067
