Jeff-C175 7,199 #32 Posted December 17, 2020 We got about 3" of very heavy wet snow here. Everything was going fine until I got to the end of the drive and lost my steering! Crawled under to find the cotter pin on the steering shaft GONE... Did I screw up? I was just working on it last week and put a brand new pin in there. Dang it, I hate when the mind goes and I forget to cinch the cotter pin! The up side? for whatever reason, the three thrust shims on the end of the rod did not fall off! Way to much to plow so first time in a couple years sinle stage on the Electro 16 did the job. That K341 was working...That thing sucks gas and she only has the small metal tank only holds a gallon and a half. had to refuel twice. Just finished clean up with the Charger 12 plow. D_Mac 8,582 #36 Posted December 17, 2020 Didnt think to take a picture but I popped my cherry on plowing with a tractor. We had a few inches on the ground this morning and the 857 handled it with no problem. One problem is that I have curbing running the length of the driveway on both sides.That makes plowing a little difficult. Much easier to clear the driveway with my walk behind snow blower. Way more fun using the Wheel Horse 857 with plow though. did I mention I am really starting to like this tractor?
