Ready but going to sleep now. Will get after it in the morning. Suppose to get 12-18” here and it is snowing at a good clip.

We got about 3" of very heavy wet snow here.  Everything was going fine until I got to the end of the drive and lost my steering!

Crawled under to find the cotter pin on the steering shaft GONE...  Did I screw up?  I was just working on it last week and put a brand new pin in there.  Dang it, I hate when the mind goes and I forget to cinch the cotter pin!

The up side?  for whatever reason, the three thrust shims on the end of the rod did not fall off!  Only lost the pin.

Didnt think to take a picture but I popped my cherry on plowing with a tractor. We had a few inches on the ground this morning and the 857 handled it with no problem. One problem is that I have curbing running the length of the driveway on both sides. That makes plowing a little difficult. Much easier to clear the driveway with my walk behind snow blower. Way more fun using the Wheel Horse 857 with plow though. did I mention I am really starting to like this tractor? I will have to remember to snap a picture behind the wheel next time.

Yes sir an Onan with a deuce or a tall single, unfortunately (🤔) I did not get to use mine this round, but you may have seen my pics/vids before.

@ebinmaine, So I couldn't find my long down pressure bar for my snow plow that I made up a year or so ago, so to get the slushed ice off the pavement I improvised by hanging 80# of suitcase weights on the moldboard is think it did ok.

Yes for the moment, those newer blows aren't a heavy metal, the top flange got a little wrinkled, easy fix, I'll either make a new lift link or find my other 1.

Steering all fixed.  Just got done plowing the 'slush ruts' out of the private road.  Waiting to cool down before putting her up for the night.  Need to find something to keep the snow freezing to the plow.

Just like Jeffrey, the 857 enjoyed playing in the snow today. Jeffrey tries to bite the tires when it moves. Jeeez I wonder how he broke his tooth and was hit by a car ?

Funny our little Jack-chi thinks he can bite the tires as they turn too.

Didn’t get any pics but I did the driveway with my 520 today. The 44” two stage loved the lite fluffy 16+ inches! The snow at the end of the drive was 36” deep after the plow truck went by and she went through it like nothin at all. Pleased!
