D_Mac 8,961 #9 Posted December 16, 2020 My plastic shed has been up going on 7 yrs now. Most likely get a new one next year as it is starting to tear along the zipper. I reinforced the roof to hold the snow. Worth every penny I say.

I saw that they’re not so much worried about the accumulation, but the massive amounts of weight. Brush them clean often, I bet that’s the best bet

Brush them clean often, I bet that’s the best bet If there's a clear spot or two along the center line of the plastic shed you can hang a 2x4 from the ridgepole, short enough to clear the ground by an inch or so. Will be vertical unless there's something contacting it and will take load if the roof starts to sag in the middle. This was the suggestion from the manufacturer when ordering replacements for all the twisted and bent high tunnel parts. Fortunately for me, not my high tunnel.

My HF garage-in-a-box was erected in 2015, and was subject to two 30" snows that winter. Subsequent winters also had snow. I never had any problem. I did add more anchors when there were forecasts of hurricanes. I just took it down in October after moving everything to the new pole building.
