Snow report enough to motivate me

Nice, looks like you're ready. I'm still getting conflicting reports for Wednesday's snow fall. One says 1-3 inches and maybe up to 12 inches, depending on the tract the storm takes. I wouldn't mind having some plowable snow, but don't really want to get dumped on. Hope for your sake they are over estimating the totals.

Calling for measurable snow here in central Ct....I’m ready with my GT1600 and 5 sector 48” plow. If it’s to deep my 30” Ariens blower deals with it

If I put the plow on it will snow when I take it off in June.

Like yesterday, Oh going to be 60 and Sunny no rain. Drug an old mower deck outside for paint, mixed paint, looked out the garage door and pow! raining. Go figure.

I am sure it will be just like every other over media hyped up snow storm, bomb cyclone or whatever the marketing new scare term to get everyone to panic buy their bread, milk & eggs.  Enjoy the french toast and dusting of snow!

My report went from 5-8 inches now they are saying up to 18.

I am ready to plow. I am not ready to blow. The snow blower I have I don't think will fit the tractor that's working. The tractor that's working doesn't have a working PTO anyway.

My walk-behind blower works, but will not handle an 18 inch snow.

Also, the tractor that works has no lights.

Good luck Ed, hope you don't have to push that 21+" of snow all at once, they usually over forecast, so maybe you won't get that much anyway.

The good thing about the C-series and later manual PTOs they are all interchangeable. I used the PTO off my 312-8 on my C-120 a few summers ago when bearings gave out on it.

I have all three back working now.

Yeah. I do.

The 855, which is the tractor with the blown engine and that the big blower is for also doesn't have the front mount bracket to accept the snow blower. I think (but am not sure) that the brackets I put on my 800 this summer are the correct ones.

But none of that matters because the engine I was trying to put in the 855 is fighting me too much. At the very least I have to swap the crank pulley on the drive belt side, and the set screw in the JD engine is stuck. Like really stuck, and my torch is out of O2, and my inductive heater is at work.

What I am really hoping for, and it is a possibility according to my co-workers, is that we get told not to come in because all of our appointments cancel.

Our local weatherman who generally nails the weather, says we have a 30% chance of 10" or less for the whole winter and a 40% chance of 10" to 16". I may or may not get to use my new snow plow!!

As someone who lives where we get double digit snow a lot, stay ahead of it. Make it a bunch of 4” storms.

The first few can be a lot of fun, then they become a chore. We haven't had any big ones for a while in Southern Maine.

All this snow talk is making me jealous. Never get any seat time in the winter around here. Had one decent snow last winter, so I dug the plow out and mounted it on the 753, didn't see more than a dusting the rest of the season. Sold the plow over the summer. So far this year we had one storm move week before last that dumped 9-10 inches on us, but most of it was already gone a day or two later with temps back up near 60. They were calling for another 6-8 yesterday, when it was done we had less than an inch out here at the farm. 80% chance for more tomorrow, but haven't heard any predictions of amounts yet.

I'm in that light pink 24 inch circle, right at the corner of York, Cumberland, and Adams.

Same here for KC, I finally got a blade for my 310 and I'm sure I will push way more dirt than snow with it!!

I am getting so much conflicting info on this storm.

On the one hand I got ready for snow. Twice. That means there is no possible way we actually get any.

On the other hand, my ear, tooth, and back are all telling me something is up with the weather.

My manager is preparing for a light schedule tomorrow, and when I left today he sounded like he expects the owner to shut us down for Thursday.
