Jim Turner 42 #1 Posted December 12, 2020 (edited) I am looking for a database where one can look up a serial number and tell what year it is. I know if one of us was to post a serial number there will be a few on here that has a private list that they can tell the rest of us what year tractor we have. My question can someone post such a list that is easily identifiable in the files section? I did a search for this information and came up with one "hit" where a member posted a link that had this information but that link is currently dead. It is great that this forum has a file section but I feel it could be much better organised than in its current form. It would just be nice if we could look up this information without having to make a post like this one each time. I am not complaining just sharing my thoughts and hopefully get a list that can be shared with all in the group (If there is one). Was hoping to use this list to identify a tractor that the data plate did not show all of the model number but it clearly showed the serial number. 953 nut 55,346 #9 Posted December 13, 2020 If you have a rough idea of the model number and go to files and type in a search for that model you will find that has a list of serial numbers for that model. Post a picture of the tractor here and we can help figure it out with you.
wallfish 17,020 #10 Posted December 13, 2020 That would be nice but Wheel Horse didn't keep records of serial numbers that I know of. @gwest_ca has the best knowledge of serial numbers I know of

Model: M12S Spec: 471527 Serial: 1809009353 Thank you That's the Kohler engine specs. It's a Kohler 12 hp Magnum engine. Use those numbers for parts and manuals for the engine itself. Most likely you have a 312 tractor but starting a new thread of your own would be best. Post some pictures of it and we can identify it for you. Ask any questions you have about it but the more specific the question, the more specific the answer you will receive.
