rmaynard 15,519 #32 Posted December 29, 2020 If it were mine, and I have done this on several, as long as all the bolts are out, and the 3/4" pin that holds the hitch is out, tap a cheap flat blade screw driver into the joint. If it doesn't work on the first hit, move to another location and tap it in. Brewer229 4 #33 Posted December 29, 2020 Ok I got it open looks like mud..I worked the high low lever and it seems to be working fine, so I need to figure out what else id stopping it from moving into gear..Guess if I take it all aart and clean and lube that will fix this problem? You can get that part from TORO...and you want a new one...don't get a used one. They were about $56. That bolt gets torqued when replaced. Not yet I just made it to that high low shift fork and have stopped for now..I will get back to it after i know this fork is on its way to me. Thanks! Brewer229 4 #39 Posted December 30, 2020 Ok I noticed some needle bearings has fallen out of that one gear thats rides on the high low fork should i replace those and is it difficult or to they just pop out? Brewer 2 #41 Posted February 20, 2021 Hey everybody, well I got this thing working fine after I replaced that shift fork on the high low but i went to store and came back it was raining for ten minutes on it and the seat being cracked up holds water i seen where it was running down toward the transmission now yes I have milky oil I guess it wont clear up by itself so i will have to do the flush thing right? so disappointing for sure.. Hey Steve I was saying i got it fixed and few weeks down the road i forgot when i went to store left it rain guess it leaked in through the shifter cause i didnt purchase a boot but now its milky again should i kerosene it to flush it out a couple times? Yes, you have to drain it out, but if you cleaned it out before, I think I would flush with 2 qts of diesel, drain it and put the 90wt 1 1/2 to 2 qts back in. The boot is only a few $...put a touch of grease on the shifter about where the boot goes to seal that water. Sorry, I missed some of your questions from before. I'll be watching this thread now.
