I am creating this thread simply as a test. This forum does not have a "test" section, or a "preview" option. I can never remember how pics are shown. Last one first, first one first, or whatever. "This is simply a test of your Wheel Horse  Broadcast System!"

If you're using a PC the pic "preview" is always shown when you copy a pic to the post and before you click the little + button to add them to your post. Your entire post preview is always shown before you click the "submit reply" button. No need for any test area as you can preview every single time you post anything. The order in which any pics show up is the order you add them into your post. If you need to change that location there is a small trash can/delete button. Simply remove it and add it back to the spot you want it. The pic will show up at the location of where the curser is located in the editor window of your post when you click the + button. You can type all your text first and add the different pics at any particular location you want by positioning the curser where you want the pic, then click the + button on a pic.

 

I don't use my phone on here so maybe someone that does can explain the nuances of using phone if that's what you're using to post with

There is also an "options" button on each uploaded image in the "pending" queue. In there you can reduce the sizes so they don't automatically expand to take up the whole screen.

There's a way to "order" them. 

 

Choose all the pics you're going to use for the que below the thread. 

 

To insert a pic set the cursor where you want the pic and click on that pic below.

 Pictures or no , the answers have a wide variety of different responses, experiences and value.  
 

Just imagine the scope of technology  and devices interacting with this forum.   Probably greater in number than the models of Wheel Horse tractors every made!

I don't have an option to resize the pic. Maybe it's a browser thing or if you are a RS supporter or not.

Once the image has been placed into the posts, try double-clicking (using left mouse button) on the image. The behavior is browser-dependent.

Here I was able to add two images side by side by reducing the sizes of both of them.  I tapped the spacebar a few times to put a bit of space between them.

The left is a "heart transplant" image 

The right is the dialog box that appears after double-clicking in an image that is in a not-yet-submitted post (it doesn't work in the uploaded image area--double-clicking there just puts the picture into the post twice!

Double clicking worked to get the box.

Changed it right in the post too by doing edit in the post above.

I click where it's RED above:

Click to choose files. 

 

I choose from the right place in my phone or Google drive. 

 

At that point multiple pics will be in a line below what you see above. 

I click (tap) on whatever pic I want then hit the down arrow (enter) to make a space between the pics. 

 

Repeat as necessary.

@ebinmaine, fairly sure that you can edit images in an unsent post or (as @wallfish just showed us, when you edit one of your posts) by a long press on the image instead of the double-click. Let me know!

I just tried on my iPhone to edit a previous post with an image.  I was able to double-tap on the image and get the dialog box I put in the earlier post. Resize, assign a URL link, give it a name, align left right or center. Was even able to manipulate YOUR cake image in THIS post. All worked for me. Never used an Android so they remain a mystery to me
