jette 22 #1 Posted December 10, 2020 i inherited a c-161 plus an array of attachments including snow plow. wheel horse is far from my wheel house. i don't even know what all i have; the 161 has been kept in the garage but the attachments are in a shed and also behind the shed under very heavy plastic covering. some items are easy like the plow. am guessing anything with red paint in the shed is likely a wheel horse attachment but am hoping for insight before i start moving stuff around. there's also a kohler thing that looks like something i have seen pictures of here - the 161 is not missing this part though so i have no idea about it. need to sell all this fairly quickly while i am still out here with it in central new jersey. can anyone please help advise me?? please check out the pics & thank you for any help! 7 6

WHX?? 48,834 #9 Posted December 10, 2020 Wow... a bucket list tractor in pristine shape! You were any closer I would be all over that or at least kicking tires and drooling. Just looking here with all the attachments I think your in the ballpark of 1500-2000 with the extra motor. The bulk of it for the tractor. Someone has loved that tractor that's for sure. The deck looks like a project but childs play for some here. The plow looks to be in decent shape tho.

D_Mac 8,623 #14 Posted December 10, 2020 You think thats all original paint guys or do you think its been repainted? Im thinking its been gone over judging by the rest of the attachments and the condition of the muffler. Either way that is a great tractor. I regret selling mine. Santa if you are listening, thats all I want for Christmas !!
stevasaurus 22,767 #15 Posted December 10, 2020 I think it is a re-paint...compare it to the mule drive, but it is a nice job and looks like taken apart down to the frame. Look at the bolts and nuts, tires and decals. Need to see in person and all that goes with it. That spare engine looks like it had the blue paint on it, which means it is a replacement engine from Kohler...that is worth a few bucks by itself...if, if, if. What is the model number of the horse??
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,060 #16 Posted December 10, 2020 The ID plate should be under the dash with the model number and serial number stamped into it. The lower box should have the Julian build date. Garry

jette 22 #18 Posted December 11, 2020 To answer some of the questions - franklin township inherited from my father c-161 eight-speed i don't know the story behind the spare kohler - i can take more pics of it, just need guidance what area or detail is most relevant - but yes, there is definitely blue paint on it the wheel horse has been kept in the garage attached to the house - the attachments have been stored in a shed building - deck has been outside behind the shed and obviously the tarp blew off...3 different environments plus also 3 different lighting scenarios...add to that not a pro photographer wheel horse calendar shoot and heck, i was just glad my pics didn't come out purple wallfish i will send email tomorrow

This is great buy for someone, I spoke with owners a couple times helping them with general questions about the tractor and what goes with it. The tractor has been in their family awhile. The tractor obviously has been well taken care of and stored inside. The fuel tank is dry, they did not try starting it, the tractor has been sitting for a few years. I agree with them, I personally would go over everything before firing it up. The snowplow looks new barely used, the stickers are still on it. All this tractor needs is a new good home!
