"Manic-Mechanic" 1,195 #1 Posted December 9, 2020 (edited) Been told the C-Auto Hydro Pump has basically the same components as the D-Series Pump. Although the D-Series is a divorced system and the pump is set up differently, the shafts can be swapped out and the C-series pump can be converted over to the divorced system and be suspended accordingly. Any thoughts on this? oliver2-44 9,850 #2 Posted December 9, 2020 There was a thread on here a few years ago of someone (possible @dman). swapping a C pump to a D. Seems it worked for him

pacer 3,174 #4 Posted December 9, 2020 Been several years ago, so I dont recall exactly ... but anyway...... I found an unknown pump that I got for cheap that literally looked new (I think it was NOS) and knowing it looked like the one on my D180 I set it aside. Later I found a D160 with a worn pump and began to compare the 2. Was obvious they wernt EXACTLY the same, (probably off a C series) but IIRC it was minor, like mounting, etc. Took a gamble and used the unknown on the 160 and it worked/fit perfect, 1

daveoman1966 3,760 #6 Posted December 10, 2020 I've spent a few hours making an Excel SS comparing the D series Sundstrand unit (D-200) to that of the B and C series models. I even included schematics of a D-200 to that of the C-160, which covers MOST of the variables. They are, essentially, the same pump and motor with a few part #s exceptions. The SS is kinda big...natrually, so if the moderator(s) kick it ot the curb, ok with me. I can send it via email to anyone ...just ask. My direct emai is: daveoman@windstream.net Col A...Excel Line sort Col B thru F... Pump & motor parts of B & C series (C-160) Col H thru L..."D Series" Pump & motor parts. Col "G".. Compares part#s... "1" if the same..."0" if not same. RED parts at end are the differences: Lastly, the MANIFOLD SECTION of D Series is included...just because. (B&C series don't have the manifold.) COMPARE SUNDSTRAND B & C& D.xlsx 1

I haven't yet made any contributions to the documentation section and have no clue how to do it! Would have to connect with one of the admins to learn the ropes. Maybe @bcgold can add this in a place where it can be useful to others?
