Vurge 158 #26 Posted December 13, 2020 My Craftsman loader came with duals. One of the first things I did after getting it off the trailer was to hit every corner and post on the way to the work shop. The duals make the tractor much wider than expected. I've since replaced them with a set of filled ags. Much more maneuverable, but in all honesty, I haven't actually done any loader work yet. Unless there's an issue with tipping I'll be staying away from the duals.
DennisThornton 4,769 #27 Posted December 13, 2020 I want a dual setup on something but I'm not sure why. Can't plow snow because the blade won't clear a path for the extra tires. Sure don't need it for mowing, although perhaps some might have a wet area where the extra floatation might help. Can't plow dirt with them on both sides. I'd think they would help with pulling, draggin logs and certainly stability with a loader lifted high. Other than that I think I too would hit everything nearby.

With pulling heavy loads duals would help IIFF the area is mucky or loose.

I still think chains are the best bang for the buck for traction.

pfrederi 17,741 #31 Posted December 13, 2020 Guess age is taking its toll. I have no interest in something just because it "Looks Cool" (stacks, dualies etc...). Simplicity and reliability are what I want now.... 1

I've certainly got enough tires and wheels around to have a dual setup!
