After reading a couple questions about filters to fit Wheel Horse engines, I thought these sites would be useful:

Remember, Take the cross reference charts with a grain of salt. The info is only as accurate as the info the dude/lady has when entering the information.

Yes, skip the Fram.  Cross-reference charts may not take in consideration the physical diameter, length or the flutes for an oil filter socket.  For Onan, I use only Onan 122-0800 or Fleetguard LF-3339, both made by Cummins and are the same except paint.  Onan needs the diameter right to hold the rubber grommet in place, and the length to grip for installation or removal.

I've also only used Onan and Fleetguard filters 

 

tempted to use a NAPA filter because they are high quality - but I some Fleetguard filters on hand 


a few notes on the sizes of the Onan 122-0800 and Fleetguard LF-3339 filters 

 

the early / original Onan 122-0800 filters were approx 3" diameter and 4 1/4 " length 

 

the most recent 122-0800 filters I received were smaller - slightly under 3" diameter (2.92") and just over 4" length (4.05 ")

 

Fleetguard LF-3339 filter is approx 3" diameter and 4 1/2 " length
