Racinbob 11,045 #1 Posted November 30, 2020 The system snow missed us but a lake effect band is parked right over us. This is just the start and they are saying it will stay parked there until early tomorrow morning when the wind shifts bringing us a good 10". Right now it's not sticking to the asphalt drive but I'll be doing my snow dance hoping it does. 8 3 1

Alex175 784 #3 Posted November 30, 2020 Every day that passes recently I have been thinking to myself "should I hook up the snow blower and the plow?"...I think this week is the week. As much as I don't want to admit it, winter is coming.
JoeM 7,871 #4 Posted November 30, 2020 At first, for some reason, I thought you were in FLA! But then realized it is IN. They say it is headed to us next, so far they got the rain right. Saying 2-4 snow tomorrow. not enough to get excited. 2

That's the system snow heading your way. It missed us but the north winds behind it are bringing lake effect snow off Lake Michigan.

stevasaurus 22,711 #9 Posted November 30, 2020 After living in Florida all these years, I'm surprised we don't have a video of Bob cleaning off all of the snow on his sidewalk.

8ntruck 6,991 #12 Posted November 30, 2020 I just filed my anti-snow insurance policy. I'm warming numb fingers from waking up the little 2 stroke Toro paddle type snow thrower from a 5 year snooze. Pulled the bowl off of the carb and sprayed carb cleaner through the main jet. Three or five pulls later, it was running. Smoked like a chimney for the first minute or so. The new fuel has been dosed with Sea Foam along with the 2 stroke oil, so I should be ready for snow - if it gets here. 3

We've seen light snow too but no accumulation below 2000 ft. S'pose it's time I put the chains on the Cinnamon Horse.
Pullstart 62,800 #19 Posted December 1, 2020 We are 2 hours(?) north of Bob and never received a drop of snow. That’s ok, I am not ready for it yet. I haven’t sold the snowblower I picked up for free a few weeks ago, maybe I should keep that until I get my plow truck going!

A picture this morning would look just the same. They were still predicting it as of the 11:00 report last night. Didn't happen. Dang fickle lake effect. No playtime for me. 16 hours ago, stevasaurus said: After living in Florida all these years, I'm surprised we don't have a video of Bob cleaning off all of the snow on his sidewalk. Gotta keep the tootsies warm. 3
slim67 2,735 #21 Posted December 1, 2020 I went in at 4am to plow and it wasn't as bad where I work compared to home but it started coming down after I got there. Needless to say ,they canceled school so we finished up and went home at 8. I got home and looked we got a foot. Fired up the clone powered B-80 and got it done. Ive had my fun for the day. 2 1
Tractorhead 9,064 #22 Posted December 1, 2020 Here it begin‘s to snow at 11:00 local time, but just few flakes.. My collegues begin all to laugh when they see my reaction about the Snow..🤪 - dunno why.. 😎 It stops at 15:00 but not much, just a little powder that‘s it.. Still hope i get my rims quick back finalized. The 212 is still sitting with the Plow in the Shed on Pole position.. 1

Forgive my ignorance but is that a regular occasion down there? As you can imagine we've been getting Frost fairly steadily for about two months now.
