acieration and lawn recovery

hello , since my ground water has recovered with regular rain , in addition to regular weighted lawn spiking , my lawn guy recommended I add pelletized gypsum , that I picked up a LOWES ,   https://www.lowes.com/pd/Soil-Doctor-Pelletized-Gypsum-Soil-Repair-40-lb-Organic-Gypsum-Improves-Soil-Structure/3062445?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-lwn-_-google-_-lia-_-107-_-commodityfertilizer-_-3062445-_-0&placeholder=null&gclid=Cj0KCQiAqo3-BRDoARIsAE5vnaJVKyy93UGO-9DvLkuGseYPiaQkloHbTBPKG_tvd8WnGGidspHwcw8aAtjSEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds , have to say the dried crunchy lawn I had is all but gone .  the gypsum , breaks down the heavy clay in the ground , letting it breath and take in nutrients, notice a softer lawn , and the spikers  really get it opened up . at 11 $ bucks for 40 lbs , its a good buy . just an idea , if you are having the same dry / dead grass areas , pete

Yep, some clay soils may take several years of Gypsum application, but it works.
