gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,033 #2 Posted November 29, 2020 The hitch parts were available as a kit and some pieces included with the purchase of a tiller. Click on the picture in the link. Garry
953 nut 55,099 #3 Posted November 29, 2020 In addition to the hitch you will need the cable from the rock-shaft. Here is a link to the site. https://www.wheelhorsepartsandmore.com/ 1

Handy Don 12,163 #5 Posted November 29, 2020 Welcome to the forum. There are a couple of variants of the clevis mounted sleeve hitch but one is by far the most common--the one you need on a 417. Check out the images on the vendor site that @953 nut posted above, especially the install instructions, and the doc supplied above by our trusty site admin (thanks!) and you'll be in fine shape. The full setup includes the cable and its tube that connect the hydraulic lift mechanism in the middle of the tractor to the rock shaft in the rear under the seat, the rock shaft (which needs bushings to mount it into the tractor), and lastly a chain or cable to link the rear rock shaft to the arm on the hitch or directly to, for example, a tiller. Again, the wheelhorsepartsandmore website shows all of this in pictures with the relevant parts. Some members here have the skills and tools and have fabricated parts of this mechanism themselves.
