Rick Ferrucci 17 #1 Posted November 29, 2020 Hello RS, I want to change the transmission fluid in my GT14, and the socket for the 1/4” Allen wrench is stripped out. I’ve read some other threads about removing the existing plug. Like welding a nut on it, or using an easy-out, or tapping in a torx bit. I’ve so far tried to get a hold on it with a vise grip, and it’s tearing it up. What ever way works, I’m going to want a new drain plug in hand before I take the old one out. My question is, Does anyone know where I can find a new drain plug for the Sundstrand, or dimensions of it? Any leads are greatly appreciated. ebinmaine 68,336 #2 Posted November 29, 2020 It's a standard pipe thread NPT size. I can't remember if it's 1/8" or 1/4". Wouldn't be a bad idea to find a magnetic plug.
