Left foot step mounting on 70 Charger with hydro lift???

Recommended Posts

ebinmaine

Been getting the Charger back together and of course I had to move the left step out away from the frame to make room for the hydro lift cylinder.

On a manual lift tractor there's 2 bolts near the bottom of the steering tower that hold the step. Can't use those because as many of know the cylinder is in the way.

Is there a separate bracket I should have??

Seems to be a tad (floppy?) Without the 2 bolts...

You need this bracket to support the left foot rest.  It bolts the the inner side of the hoodstand, then under the footrail.  It allows for the ram to fully extend unobstructed.  I'll send one to your  for $20.  Paypal as "Send Money to Friend".

Send to my Paypal account name:  daveoman@windstream.net.

You could always ditch the running boards & just put some of the older cast stirrups on.

The idea would work but I have a very longstanding habit of keeping both feet flat on the floor/foot boards when driving.

That's one of the reasons I like the later models.
