paulygman 20 #1 Posted November 24, 2020 Thanks to all for giving me advice last month regarding my search for my first Wheel Horse. Got My First Wheel Horse Today. A 414-8 with a K321S Kohler Engine and 42" rear discharge mower deck. Looks a little rough but runs OK. The owner included wheel weights, some new belts and a bunch of manuals. I would start by changing the engine and transmission oil and replace air filter, the fuel line and add a filter. I've been here a while, posted some and READ a WHOLE LOT! But I've not seen the phrase "W-H contraceptives"! At first that somewhat bothered me because I think we need all the W-Hs we can get! So many reasons that I don't need to go into here! I'm adding to space and improving space all the time but if "things" get ahead of me, where do we, well, I, get "W-H contraceptives"? Having been on this forum for some time I felt stupid to ask here so I asked elsewhere first but all I got was weird looks... Take care of that new to you Wheel Horse and she will take care of your kids and perhaps their kids! They are that good! Look for water in the transaxle in the form of milky looking oil. If it looks milky, and many 8-speeds do, flush it out.
