Those little springs can be like the lost socks from your clothes dryer, who knows where they go but they're never seen again. If the check valves are accessible little disks, (which I'm guessing they are) clean them up and flip them over. clean the surface they mate too and they should work again. Since those are mechanical driven pumps, the diaphragm should work as long as there aren't any holes in it. I have some diaphragm material if need be but not sure what that type looks like. I never could get anyone to answer my emails. You have to call him.
