JoeM 7,871 #1 Posted November 23, 2020 The other night I flipped on the Discovery Channel and a commercial came on and it was a commercial in a commercial! You know like picture in a picture! I am so fed up with TV, seems like less show to watch and more advertising. And now commercial in a commercial??? If it wasn't for the wife and grand kids I would cut the cable. Zeek 2,286 #7 Posted November 23, 2020 The "cable bill" was my #1 complaint EVERY MONTH. When we relocated we vowed never to do that again. We get the digital antenna channels (for free - who would pay for that anyway) which are as you say fill with endless commercials, so my WIFE only watches them for news ( I go online and see what I need to see without opinion/spin) or weather. We use Amazon Prime and YouTube for the bulk of TV and you can at least control the commercials a bit more. Regular TV sucks . . . 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I even record the Super Bowl just to watch the commercials, could care less about the game. Maybe I'm not wrapped right. I've read on more than one occasion that advertisers are trying to find ways to get creative because people are not paying anywhere near as much attention to the commercials as they used to. If you have two or three commercials on the screen at the same time some folks are still going to walk away but others are going to focus in on the one that is the least irritating or most interesting to them... And then of course you've got the ones on YouTube that are focused on nut cases like me that don't even watch television but are only 12 to 15 seconds long. With these new fangled tv's you can find just about anything your wanting to watch. and alot of what you dont want to watch. LOL anybody paying for cable or satellite is crazy. But then you've got a few areas where High-Speed Internet is just NOT available yet or people like Trina's mom that have no desire to be on any portion of the internet.
