ebinmaine 67,288 #1 Posted November 20, 2020 The antique stove that Trina is restoring is in need of new metal screen for the door. Dimensions are seen below in the pictures. Thickness isn't a huge issue but these pieces are very very thin . I think we would have to buy about 6 in x 6 in. The pattern of the holes is somewhere in the neighborhood of 1/8 in but it's not exact. If anything, I would rather that the holes were just a tiny bit bigger so the fire could be seen better. I assume it's made out of steel because it looks to be quite rusted. Where can we get something like this?
Pullstart 62,799 #2 Posted November 20, 2020 Wow. Make it maybe? A simple drill jig with a peg and a movable back stop? Try searching for “expanded metal” for alternative options?
Pullstart 62,799 #3 Posted November 20, 2020 There are a ton of hobbyist plasma table people out there, maybe it would be easier to program? @ACman could your son do that?
R Scheer 502 #4 Posted November 20, 2020 Try a search for perforated metal, the jungle site has some.
WHNJ701 4,165 #5 Posted November 20, 2020 Just look online for perforated metal sheet, unless you want to drill them one by one!
