Tires for a 12x7 rim

Recommended Posts

92Pony

I searched but couldn't find an answer to this.... Will a 23x10.5x12 tire mount onto a 12x7 rim? (And stay? LOL!)

I have a 520 with ags, but also have a spare set of turf tires....but no rims. I'd love to find an extra pair of rims to mount the turfs on, but the only rims I regularly see for sale are 12x7. Could I use a pair of 12x7s for the 23x10.5x12 turfs?

Thanks,

Wade

In one of Hellmutt's links, there's a yea and a nay.... :omg:

Don, when you get the chance, I'd be curious to see a pic - thanks.

C-Series14

I have 10.5's on my C-Series stock rims, they are fine....have been for years and the set on my FEL tractor are still on there after many hours of use and many tons of gravel, dirt, and whatever else I have carried. I worry more about the sun not coming up than I do about my tars!

Never really measured them (wheels) but they had the stock 8.5 turf tires on them when I swapped them out. I have 8.5 Ags on a couple tractors and they look silly.....I like the wide look! :omg:

I searched and found that the answer was yes, they will work. Here are mine done just last week with Ags.

Don, I like the look of those "fat" turf tires on the rear.

BTW, what's that motor in your "C"? :omg:

16 HP Briggs&Strattion Vanguard V-twin been on there 18 years. It's not a direct bolt on' it's requires 7/8" spacer below the engine to get the PTO in the right location. The shaft is 1" requires the pulley to be changed or modified. I had mine bored out and sleeved down, made a sleeve for the PTO back to 1 1/8". It also required a addition to the shaft with a projection for the thrust bearing (this is a piece of one inch turned down on both ends and treaded to match the engine shaft).

Someone posted a picture of his rig with his little kid for some other subject & had nice ags on. Someone asked about his tires & he said he gottem cheap from an ATV owner. I think he said the ATV guys take them off & sell cheap & put on some other bling on their thing. Good for us. BUT I cant find the post RRRRRRRRRR!!!!
