Really windy on this side of the lake as well. No serious damage at my place though.

Troy Built 7000. Put in a plug to whole house. Runs everything except micro, ac and the coffee makers! I can run a cord to my neighbor so she has some juice as well... has a detachable power / status head that I put by the door so I can check status, % power used etc. without going outside...

Glad all good on your side of the pond...!

That's why it started first pull !!

Sounds like you have a good set up. I have a shore plug on the side of my house to plug in my 8000w Baldor gen. Shut the main breaker off & turn the 50amp breaker for the gen on. Will run all but the AC units. System is not what you would call "Up to code" but no power is back fed to the grid so line men are safe to work.

Same basic set up as mine.

I’m not an electric guy, so I did have mine installed with a permit by an electrician and inspected... I’m not fond of sparks...! :scared-eek:

And, like you, I want to make sure I don’t give the line guys a “kiss” when they are fixing the problem!!!

I am sorry, the Haiku Police :law-policeblue: have been busy with storm related issues... and sadly, with the current funding situation nationwide there may be long interludes between grievous Haiku syllablistic crimes and appropriate follow up and investigation by the Haiku Police :law-policeblue: if at all...
