The Tuul Crib 7,336 #1 Posted November 14, 2020 Got back to the porch today and got ready to put the metal on tomorrow. Been delayed on this project since December of last year. I did manage to in that time get my charger going. Didn't have to go out to get parts basically. Just used fleabay .When Covid hit and the materials were a little harder to get. When I get done I m having a dilemma whether to put a porch swing or a Hamic.!

shallowwatersailor 3,213 #3 Posted November 14, 2020 When I was a kid, my father had a war-surplus hammock from WWII. I'm sure that it was preferred by the GI rather than sleeping on the ground.
oliver2-44 9,696 #4 Posted November 14, 2020 I've built several 6 ft+ porch swings that are long enough to sleep on!
Pullstart 62,800 #5 Posted November 14, 2020 I’d vote for a swing on the porch, you can stick a hammock in the trees!
ZXT 2,401 #7 Posted November 14, 2020 There's just something about sitting on an old porch swing on a nice day, looking over the back pasture and watching the cows graze. On the other hand, hammocks are nice too.. Why not both? One on each end of the porch.
Stormin 9,981 #8 Posted November 14, 2020 Porch swing for me. Easier to get off than a hammock. One wrong move and, THUD!
Mickwhitt 4,593 #9 Posted November 14, 2020 Hammock for me, we hang two on our garden pergola and laze away the hours. Swing seat might be nice but I'm so happy with a nice hammock.
