Interesting accessory. Walnuts are a hard nut to crack. I have a lever cracker a local shop made and it works great.

Well, the drying process is next, neighbor says to dry them on a wooden surface somehow it enhances the flavor? I have a frame screened with 1/8 hardware clothe. I will look into whether or not to wash them first? I have eight trees here and letting them to rot on the ground seemed sinful. Maybe you have a picture of your lever cracker then?
