D FEL mounting height

Recommended Posts

chucksterock

I picked up a FEL from a D over the weekend and will be putting it on one of my 520's with a custom frame and integral subframe.  I figure the FEL should be mounted the same height off the ground as it was before so I need to know the height of the mounting pads on the subframe from the ground.  TIA

I wouldn't lose any sleep over the mounting height. Most good subframes run below the rear axle and are also attached near the front of the frame. You may want to run the subframe past the rear of the tractor to support a weight box.

Mine is on a GT-14 and the three point hitch is tied into the subframe.455517726_102_3364(2).JPG.f355334f755e67a4f6e5ea46533db49e.JPG

I just want to get the geometry right so that it has the expected lift and drop.  That's why I need to know how high the mounting pads for the uprights are off the ground for a D series tractor.

I think @pfrederi has a FEL mounted on a D. He will be along.
