The title of this topic says it all, how can one attach a belt drive vac to a D series?

Well, based on the “0” suggestions I’m guessing that there is no standard way to achieve my goal. So, I am in the middle of restoring the vac attachment and have come to the conclusion that a right-angle PTO spline-to-modified flat belt drive is my best approach.  I plan on mounting the right angle drive to the vac frame and putting a 3 point Cat 0 upper arm on to stabilize the unit while in use.  I just can’t see attaching a small gas engine to it when I have 18 HP engine sitting in front of it.  Besides, I do not need another engine in my stable, in have 15 gas powered units in my garage as it stands, between snowblower, lawnmower, generators, etc, I’m keeping Sta-bil in business!  PS: pulling the impeller off the shaft was a three-day challenge which included a wheel puller, torch and impact wrench on the wheel puller!

P, PS: I wouldn’t be doing it if I didn’t enjoy it!

Well, it's done!  I didn't expect the project to take as long as it did, but there was a bit more designing to be done than initially thought.  Matching the RPM's and  mounting the system was a challenge, but it sucks (as in it it sucks up anything in its path).  The primary purpose of the vac is to suck-up and deliver the leaves into an adjacent trailer.  I like the fact that I can vary the speed, thus, change the suction power when hovering over a large bed of stones!  FYI: the chain has been replaced with a solid rod incorporating a quick release and the primary drive pullies have a cover.  I will update the pictures when I pull the monster out (snowing at the moment!).
